Nancy Bellzona's Picture Book
Rob Brewer wrote

Found Jacob & Samuel in a Polk Co Tax assessment book taken Sept. 1863. Also found Jacob & John W. in an 1854 tax assessor book (Polk Co). Lundy Crocker was also there. He was the Crocker I found living next to Seaburn Brewer in Webster Co MO in 1870.

Also Civil war data: Polk Co Loyalty Oaths 1862-1864. Jacob was listed among the men along with William Clark & Jacob T., which I assume is Jr.

Eda was among the women along with a couple of Elizabeth Brewer's & America and a Nancy L. Brewer next to Hulda Clark.

Hulda was America's sister who married Will Clark after his wife died.  It shows where America filed claiming John W. dec'd Aug. 13 1863.This was the date the file was claimed I believe.  It has he was under Col Johnson M.G.

Samuel was listed several times, once receiving $135.50 for horse claims while in Co. B

This information came from the ledger of Thomas A. Peters

Interesting note: Lundy Crocker is shown on the 1870 census as being born in TN

I’ve also found Arthur and sons William & John & James Carson who married Keziah, Elijah Bankston & Jacob Brewer all living in Shelby Co IL 1830 in precinct 2. The Middleton family was there also. Hanson Middleton lived alone next to a young Thomas Crocker (son of Arthur). Hanson married Surena Lureny Brewer (oldest daughter of Jacob & Eda) on Oct 24, 1833 in Shelby Co. Surena died there on April 7, 1858 at the age of 43. Jacob & Eda were in Polk Co MO at the time.
