In life no one can ration
Love and Passion.
In a world filled with tedium,
Often emotion geared for fun.
Let me rise to another place,
Where the touch of the wind on my face,
Gives me caress to defend,
All the rays of the sun,
Warming skin for heart won.
That old mockingbird knows my down
Dances up on top of pine and around,
Until I'm laughing at his reason,
For whatever the season.
When I see a grown-up youth tall,
My mind does recall,
The time they were so small,
Came to my door for a bit,
Of whatever was left overs or wit.
Today when their eyes light up at the sight of me.
The passion of life is mine, free. |
