IN THE month of May, for
the past few years, International Club members and their families gathered
at member, Terri Buesing's home for a fun afternoon of food, games and farm
activities. Pictured at top are Robert Montgomery and his granddaughter,
Hanna. At bottom are Erreel Mercado, Svetlanta (Tanya Mayer's mother),
Denise Brown, and baby, Ashlee.
The evening at the home of
one of our members was a treasure to always remember. The Buesings home was
located in a far out place between here and Fairfax and we did have to drive
for a bit to get there.
Our small group was anxious
to visit this ranch resting along the river because it is a unique life
style we town folk, and urban people, do not get to enjoy that often. This
evening we were rewarded with an evening when the cattle were about the low
places and into the low flowing waters of the river. How much more of a
picturesque scene could we have enjoyed.
Everyone of us struggle
along, doing the best we can, while we strive to meet goals both long range
and short term. To be able to break away from the tedium of daily living
for the pleasure of seeing what can be achieved by others is a great
encouragement and refreshing time for our bodies and minds. For the work
going into entertaining our group of the International Club we, I'm sure,
all say Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Buesing.
Thank you goes too to Allison
Graham from Scotland for sharing these photographs with me. My camera is
back up and working now so hopefully, I will be able to be a good historian
for this group.

"Who me? My job?"
