Feature that! We did make
it. Some how we made it to 2004. Wonderful isn't it?
On television at the moment
I'm watching a movie called “The Women.” At the present there is a fashion
show of the models in the year 1937. By the way, the year I was born. One
elaborate gown was priced 250.00. A big laugh for that. But, not to
complain. With a fist full of saved dollars, around 300, we made out like
you wouldn't believe at Penny's store and Wal-Mart.
A cape Rhonda loves was
fifty-eight dollars marked down to nineteen dollars. She looks so classy
with the red wrap edged in fake mink. This was at Penny's.
Red, wash out hair dye, for
Sister's teenager and a CD turned a pout on her face to all beautiful grins
and shiny eyes. I told her, “Be sure this is okay with Mom. I don't want her
showing up on my doorstep with this hair dye in her hands.”
“It's okay, Auntie. I know
not to flash around school with it. That is what would get Mom stirred up.
And, look! It washes out.”
“Oh to remember the joys of
being a kid again.” I'm grinning too.
I can't wait to see the
two-year-old in the dress, skirt, little tops I found for 2.50 each. Mother
is feeling better and loves her cologne. Hubby and kids better too.. The
tribal thing has cooled down, hopefully it will stay that way.
Ran on to one of the tribal
leaders of the Kaw's and she brightened up from a stern look to a beaming
lovely face when I told her it was a wonderful thing the Kaws are doing for
people via the health clinic. It wasn't flattery. I meant it and felt rather
like honored to know the woman who accomplished so much as to providing a
sparkling clean health clinic, which has such a qualified staff.
For the many folks I've met,
appreciate and yes, even love, I feel I've grown this year. Some have been
gracious enough to come in person to meet us and these are the bright places
in our life. So many have great problems. It encourages me to know each one
works through the thorns in their life. I'm encouraged and inspired and for
this, Thank You. |
