Included is this man's
work because it look very much like the work Lee Otis Jones did as to
decoration for the living room of the ranch house. The difference is that
Lee used the roots of the Bois D'Arc tree which are a rich strong pure
yellow color. The wood polished to a high sheen was beautiful and rare. He
chose roots which could be set upright in order to have a shelf set across
the top. These served as a sort of in table for the heavy dark furniture.
They showed up in a nice contrast.

The floors were polished
daily with a dust mop and a very primitive vacuum sweeper was used on the
rugs.
