Did you know a leaf is
transparent,
Veins and color in sunlight so apparent,
Toward the shadows there is dark, dark,
A glint of light to give veridian mark.
If only all things are so clearly seen,
As evident as this world of lovely green,
Pulled forward to be shown as green earth,
And again Cad. yellow, ultramarine's worth.
There is the song of hue married to shade,
Freely given to every hill and glade.
If only humanity's balance was so dear,
To make issues of honesty so clear.
Would we not then know for sure,
Of issues both clean and pure?
What a pleasant scene we could view,
Not for small group or only a few. |
