Respectfully, may I
kneel at your throne Great Mentor?
Even as I live in this world filled with pain and more.
I know you are there when an instant of unexpected mirth
Gives relief from all the days trials and blues birth
Filled I am with happy anticipation
Of simple pleasures freedom from privation
A sparrow swaying on the Mullein weed
Pecking there for a minuscule seed
Robin and Mockingbird cautiously residing together,
Friends yet; foes, birds of a feather.
Locusts roaring like tiny lions,
Signaling the end of summer's times
All these and myriad's more
Lead me reverently to your door. |
