Kay
was now six here in this photo. I love to remember these times in our
life. It was such a wonderful memory. Things were without pressure with
days flowing along like pages turning one to another as we worked through
the home school lesson plans. The teaching of a sweet joyful child who was
not intimidated or pushed but who simply sailed along with a love of
learning made our lives so beautiful and full of hope.
If we would have had any
warning or inclination as to the terrible persecution she would come into
because of our home schooling maybe we would have found some distant far
away place totally removed from society. Really, we were not trying to
establish any precedents, to set an example, or any other ulterior
motives. We simply had a wish to educate our child allowing her the
freedom to learn at her own pace.
After seeing the suffering
of our first daughter as she struggled along with her disability we only
wanted to give our other daughter a freedom from any kind of suffering. |
