Kay
is five years old here. She is doing her home schooling while her sister
Rhonda guides her along.
The home schooling was
something not very many people attempted. It was the easiest thing I have
ever done. Much easier than always running from here to there with public
school activities. We kept busy with field trips. We were active with our
faith and were constantly in attendance. There was lots of activity with
that and we were never isolated away from people.
My daughter Rhonda and I
enjoyed the lesson plans and activities through the manuscript to which we
subscribed from Calvert Schools out of Baltimore, Maryland as much as our
student, Kay.
There were numbers of
family members who did not agree with our home schooling and eventually
they were able to pressure us into public school. My own parents found no
fault in my teaching my daughter. They were totally supportive and never
interfered with our schedule or wishes to home school. |
