Bella
Vista Lyrics and other poems The Fountain of Life
All the day long
The frenzied throng
Galloped hurriedly past our door
Seeking a spring
Of which Seraphs sing
The fountain of life, and-more.
From the earliest life
They galloped along
Seeking needed relief from care,
But they found it not
In the acre lot
At the wells of Vanity Fair.
Midst the dust and grime
They raced With Time
On the shores of the shimmering sea
And staked their wealth
In a search for health
And a roseate Dawn-to-Be.
Their glamouring mind
Oft failed to find
In the midst of the rush and roar
That true life is found
On the sacred mound
At the foot of the cross He bore.
