Louise (Fixin) Campbell Cameron was
born January 16, 1932 in Barber, Oklahoma to Tom Fixin and Lugie Bearpaw.
God called Louise home on November 10, 2009 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at 77
years of age. She was surrounded by her family at her bedside. Louise
married the love of her life George (Campbell) Cameron on February 7,
1958, and they were married 47 years. For a short while Louise worked in
the Cherokee Nation Industry and then devoted her life to caring for her
husband, George until God called him home on October 13, 2005. To this
blessed marriage four children were born. Louise gave her heart to the
Lord at an early age and served the Lord by her husband's side as a
deaconess at Barber Baptist Church. She was a heartfelt member of the
Barber and Sycamore Tree Baptist Church.Louise was a very loving and
soft spoken lady and her life spoke loudly of her love for her lord, her
husband, her children, grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Louise loved to sew, quilt and cook. She also enjoyed canning, gardening
and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all
that shared in her life. Louise was preceded in death by her husband,
parents and grandparents. She was also preceded in death by several
siblings they were Ada McCoy, Birdie Campbell, Nancy Campbell, Calvin
Fixin Eli Fixin, Rufus Fixin and two infant siblings. She is survived by
her daughters, Patricia Campbell Cameron of the home, Emma Thirsty and
husband Adam Jr. of Stillwell, Oklahoma. She also leaves to mourn her
passing her two sons, Fred Cameron and wife Glenda of Cookson, Oklahoma
and George E. Cameron and wife Dena of Porter, Oklahoma. Louise was also
a mother to Mary Campbell, John Campbell, Darrel Campbell and wife Nancy
and Thomas Fixin and wife Jody. She leaves a long standing legacy in her
loving grandchildren and they are Sara (Cody) Quetone, Pamela Cameron,
Stephanie (John) Liles, Ashley (Jeff) Vann, Victoria (Devin) Dry, Dwayne
Thirsty, Dallis Cameron, Miranda Cameron, and Dustin Dylan Compton.
Joshua Fixin, Laramie Fixin and Matthew Cameron. Her great grandchildren
are surviving her and they are Ebony and Mya Oakley, Tela Dry, and
expecting her fourth great grandchild, Cameron Blaze Quetone. She leaves
to cherish her memory her sisters-in-law, Elaine Fixin of St Louis, Mo.,
Irene Fixin of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Imogene Campbell of Tahlequah,
Oklahoma. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends that
will remember her fondly.Funeral services for Mrs. Cameron will be held
Friday, November 13, 2009 at Reed-Culver Funeral Home Chapel in
Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Brothers Charles Duvall and Charlie Shell will
officiate. Burial will follow in the Barber Cemetery in Barber, Oklahoma
.A visitation for Louise will take place at Reed-Culver Funeral Home on
Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements
are under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah,
Oklahoma.
