Electric Scotland's Free Weekly E-Mail Newsletter
This is where you can both subscribe and unsubscribe by using the forms below

Please Read the following before signing up for the Newsletter!

Please ensure that you know what you will be getting should you wish to sign up for our weekly email newsletter. See our past Newsletters here!

In each email we send you there will be an unsubscribe link at the foot of the newsletter where you just click and that will remove you from the list.  Should you have any problems with this then simply email us and we'll remove you manually.

Delivery issues

We would advise that you should enter our email address (alastairi@electricscotland.com) into your address book and/or safe senders list to ensure our email won't be blocked by spam filters. (See below for examples on how to do this).

I will say that spam is a major issue right now and many ISP's will block the email before it even reaches your own inbox. Frankly we believe this is illegal but there is really nothing we can do about it and we really can't take on companies like Microsoft, etc. It's like sending someone a letter in the post and the post office says that this isn't really a suitable letter for you to get and they put it in the bin. There just has to be a better way of dealing with legitimate emails.

You should also be aware that another reason you might not get the newsletter is that some people don't bother to read how to unsubscribe and without thinking about the repercussions just report it as spam.  Problem is that very few people need to do this before the newsletter is flagged as spam and due to their actions others that do want the newsletter will be prevented from getting it. So although we make it as easy as possible to unsubscribe if you really have problems just send us an email and we'll unsubscribe for you. It really isn't in our interests to be sending out our newsletter to people that no longer want it.

Once you have completed the subscription process you will be sent out the newsletter usually each Friday.  We may on a "rare" occasion send an additional mailing if something is happening that we feel warrants your attention.

We may on a "rare" occasion also ask you to complete a questionnaire which is usually designed to get feedback on the site and things we are doing on it.
