You'll need:
- 3 slices toast
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 T. chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
With the help of an adult, set the oven
temperature to 375 degrees. Cut the toast into small squares. Chop onion
and measure. Put a layer of tomatoes in a 1-quart casserole. Add a layer
of toast. Continue making layers with the top layer being toast.
Sprinkle on salt and onion. Melt butter over low heat in saucepan. Pour
over toast and tomatoes. Bake casserole about 20 minutes. Makes 4-5
servings. |
