Foreword
This volume is being
published as a series of pictures of each page which have been scanned to
1600 pixels in width. When you select a letter from the above A - Z you
will be taken to the appropriate letter page where you will find the pages
listed in order with the key words for each page below. When you click on
the Page link you are taken to a page which includes a 780 pixel picture
which while small can be read. In the event you need to see larger text
simply click on the page and the larger 1600 pixel version will display.
Each letter index page is done in page order which also means it is also
done alphabetically. Each page has a link at the foot of the page to
return you to this page and also the next and previous pages.
While growing up in the
Middle East and Scotland I always remember this very large volume being in
the house and my mother often referring to it and so I dedicate this work
to my mother, Sybil McIntyre.
