Abington is more than just a motorway
service station. Since Roman times it has been a gateway to Scotland
with important transport links to the north, south, east and west.
In recent years the M74 motorway and the
west coast main line railway have diverted traffic away from this
picturesque village which retains its charm, centred around a hotel and
local shop. |
