It is with great regret that I have to say that I can get very little
information about Scottish businesses. Outside Scotland it is said that
the best of Scots have already left Scotland. I am however aware that some
Scottish businesses are very successful but they seem incapable about telling
us about themselves. I see this as a major barrier to change the common
perception around the world that Scotland is a third world country with
little business infrastructure. The various business organizations I have
contacted in Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Chamber of Commerce,
etc., can provide no information whatsoever. All I can do at this point is
introduce you to The Industries
of Scotland which is an 1869 publication.
All of that said if
there are any Scottish businesses out there that read this and would like
to contribute an article about themselves I'd be pleased to hear from
them.
